The year is 2049. The population of people aged 60 and over has increased to 23.5 million, creating a surplus of 7.5 million elderly people. Through collaboration, we aimed to solve the future problem of an ageing population in the UK.

Golden Paradise Cruises is offering a new scheme which means once you turn 60, you have the opportunity to enter into a ballot. If you are a lucky winner, you could see yourself on board our brand new fleet of retirement cruise ships. Instead of being made to feel like a burden on society and your family, you will be free to work and relax with like-minded people from your own generation.

Each passenger will receive a customised welcome pack in the post prior to their move on board. This will contain their golden ticket, as well as a brochure, map, job schedule and time card.

Everbody on the ship will work
together to create a self-sufficient society, facilitating work and play in a new scheme we call ‘Collaborative Retirement’.

There will be 200 of these ships, each housing 37,500 people. There will be 27 decks of passenger rooms, each deck holding 700 two bedroom rooms. The rest of the decks are for work and leisure purposes.

The ship will circle the world, docking in the UK every 4 months in order to pick up new passengers and allow people to visit their families back on land.
